I always thought journaling was a little hokey. However, I've started doing it daily. I start with a list of gratitude (3-5). This can be as simple as a roof over your head, or your daughter scoring the winning goal in her game. I also like to write down my dreams (if I can remember them!) I also use a prompt to get my day started.
You don't have to be perfect; bullet points are fine. You can even throw it away later. What's most important is exploring your gratitude for the day and get your mind working.
I have the worst handwriting in the world which turned me off of journaling. It doesn't matter! What matters is exploring your thoughts and getting your mind on paper.

Always remember progress not perfection! If you saw my journal you wouldn't be able to read it. A friend in college told me I write like Animal the Muppet talks. HAHA
Today I am grateful for my supportive husband, my friends and the fact that my daughters counted and organized their Halloween candy in such an adorable fashion. What are you grateful for today?
